Korkers are the bows that have corkscrew ribbons tied or sewn together. (I prefer to sew through mine so that the ribbons stay secure.) These bows are so cute but they are a LOT of work! I have to wrap the ribbons around dowels, bake them, unwind them, cut/heat seal the ends, sew the bow together and then shape and spray it! Here are some I made for the sale.
Those were all made from 3/8 ribbon, cut in 2 1/2 inch pieces. I used 24 pieces in those bows.
I have also made a couple for my daughter from 1/8 and they are even more work!
The pink and white one was larger and more full than the red, white and blue one. I actually made the latter for the previous year and in my opinion, she didn't have enough hair to wear it! I like them both though.
