Woven headbands

I began weaving these headbands last year and I must admit, I really enjoy making them! Unlike making bows, which requires the use of a hot glue gun, I can use Fabri-tac when making these. This makes it a portable craft! Woohoo! I often make these while watching tv, although it definitely slows me down. :)

The style that I weave can have up to 4 different colors in each headband. There are different patterns that can be made with the colors, and I have recently purchased some new patterns, but have yet to try them. The headbands come in different widths, including 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch, and 1 inch. I mainly make the 1 inch, although I have all 3 widths. Here are some I made this week on 1 inch bands. Note the different patterns! (Sorry about the paper towel roll but I was too tired to look for a piece of fabric to cover it with!)

These can be made with grosgrain ribbon or satin ribbon, or a combination of both! All of the above were made with grosgrain, except the 4th from the right in the first picture. It was made with all satin.

Beautiful your headbands! I made it in my country, Dominican Republic, too.

Congratulations and God bless you and your great family!
